Many young ladies worry all the time about their appearance and are under the false impression that keeping yourself looking prim and proper is oh so expensive! I would like to share a few tips and tricks which will help you always stay on trend looking fresh (or on fleek, whichever you prefer…lol).
No matter your fashion sense, these tips will surely be useful to you.
First and foremost, QUALITY OVER QUANTITY! A lot a lot of young ladies really struggle with this seemingly simple concept. It is much better to buy a $50 pair of pumps which you will have forever instead of that $5 pair which will be in the black bag in a week. There is nothing smart about buying ten of those pairs if none will be functional long enough for you to even know you spent money on them! Good investment starts with buying clothes smart.
Still on the idea of investment, invest in good quality basic pieces. These I’d like to call the must haves. From there you can then build onto this collection and with time you will have the wardrobe of your dreams! Patience ladies. Good things come to those who wait (and sweat while waiting!).
The Must Haves…..
It is always wise to have this collection in neutral colours as this enables you to mix them well into any outfit thus giving you endless options! Who doesn’t want that “never ending rack of clothes” feeling..
- Blazer (high schoolers I am not talking about those humongous uniform blazers! Lol), Coat
- Flat shoes (preferably ballet flats, commonly named pumps but in proper fashion language pumps are a certain type of heels 0.o…I know right…)
- High heels
- Knee length cocktail dress
- Pencil Skirt
- High-waist pants
- Knee or ankle boots
When all this is done next step will be to collect cute blouses, t-shirts (yes t-shirts), belts and jewellery which will compliment your style. All that’s left is to layer layer layer away!
True, the eyes are a window to the soul, but I believe so is fashion.
