Spring Read : The Polygamist

Spread the love

“What really knocks me out is a book that ,when you’re all done reading it,” J.D. Salinger wrote, “you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn’t happen much, though.”

Okay! I’m back in the reading groove after being busy adulting . Normally reading is my escape from the world and  I guess I was busy escaping from several hundred pages in favor of experiencing life . Luckily ,someone in book world was looking out for me and Divas Inc (yes, the magazine )  started a book club and I signed up on a whim.

Set in Zimbabwe, The Polygamist tells the story of four different women who all have one thing in common – Jonasi Gomora. Jonasi is a self-made man and one of the few richest black men in Zimbabwe. But there’s only one thing he wants – women and lots of them.
